A couple of weeks ago one of my co-workers was having a baby shower. She is having a girl. So it was a good thing I was already working on a quilt that didn’t have a new home in mind yet. I made this cute pinwheel quilt for her and quilted butterflies on it. She just loved it.
here’s a close up of the darling butterflies.....

These were fun, simple and quick to do. I used quiltsmart for the pinwheels. Then you machine applique them down and ta da! Simple and fun.

All right, I have been gone for way too long. I know I have lost some info here and things are bound to get lost. I am going to do my best to see what I can fix and hopefully start putting up pictures if not anything else. I don't know how much I will talk, as I don't think I am very good at it.
First off I have to apologize I haven't posted anything in about 2 years, thats pretty sad.
Second.... I got a new imac and I don't know what has happened to a lot of my stuff so I can tell you right now that there is going to be a few posting that are going to just disappear.
its not the best excuse, but right now its the only one I have. Sorry
Third I might drift a bit from quilts now and again, lets just call this a anything goes blog for now on. As I tend to do a lot of reading (both actual and audio) I do still have ALL my birdies and I do still quilt. So I hope I wont upset too many if I tend to go off on a something other then sewing once in a while.
Lets start with this........
For those that might recall I am a grandma, best known as Nana, and Adyson is 2 now. I also have another new grand baby that was born this last month. I haven't seen her much and its very sad, but hopefully soon I can hold her and squeeze her and love her etc...
I made a quilt for my 2nd grand baby and have some wonderful pictures here for you now.
It was great fun to work on, I did machine applique since it will probably be washed a lot and I quilted an allover design of roses on it.
