Never Enough Time
16/Sep/06 11:30 AM
So here the time has come, I am leaving tomorrow morning to the east coast. Will be staying in VA for a day then going to PA the following day. Can't wait, other then I still have to pack. AAAHHHH!
I got my quilting machine and frame, haven't had much time to actually play with it. I wish there was more time in the day. But between working, kids, getting ready to leave, kids, and trying to finish up a wall quilt for my brother (did I mention kids) there just hasn't been enough time. But there will be plenty of time when I come back from vacation, so I am not too bummed.
Here I am at almost noon saturday and being a big time slacker, guess I am just waiting for the last minute before I start to finish up on my laundry, start to pack, try and finish quilting this wall hanging. I should be stressed to the max with less then 24 hours to do so much. But I have found that I tend to do things better under pressure, so I guess I am just trying to push those limits of mine. Ever since my mother-in-law pointed out to me that I do better under pressure then the anyone else, I have found myself believing this and really testing out this theory. I don't know if thats a good thing or not....?
For example, I have this baby quilt that is supposed to be finished by next month, and I have barley even started on it! But thats ok, I keep telling myself that I will really buckle down after vacation and get it finished just in time for its due date.
After all baby blankets really don't take me that much time to do, the main time consuming part is the embroidery. Not to mention I have to finish this wall quilt, its due by tuesday!!!! So I think that takes priority, don't you?
Anyway, I really need to get for packing, washing and whatever else might come up.

Mind Numbing Mumbling

So its been a while since I actually switched my page over from geekfellas.net to my very own site aquiltingwewillsew.com, I thought it be time to actually do an update on my page.
This (blogging) is a new thing for me, I am going to try to update my page more often, thought maybe if I added in a blog portion I might actually do it.
So much to actually tell, where to start...?
Well hopefully tomorrow I will be the proud new owner of a new Mega Quilter and the Next Generation Quilt Frame. I am so very excited about this, it has been a long time coming. I have several quilts that are just patiently waiting in my closet for me to quilt them. See I used to go over to my mother-in-laws and use her quilting machine. Well she moved into a smaller house and was not able to take the table with her, and it was too big for me to even think about finding room for it. So I haven't been able to quilt anything ( and I am really not a free motion quilter at all) but this has given me some time to get some of my UFO's (unfinished objects) completed.
I am leaving on vacation in 16 days. Very excited about that. I don't know if its the thought of leaving home the husband and kids and ALL responsibility for two weeks or that I wont be at work for two weeks, or is it that I get to see my brother? Actually its all 3. I am going back East to visit my brother. He usually comes home to see me, but this time I am actually able to go to him. I can't wait, I am truly very excited and counting down on the days left before I leave. I have never been on the east coast so this will be a wonderful vacation and experience.
Well thats enough of me putting everyone to sleep for now.
Those who sleep under a quilt, sleep under a blanket of love.
